Islwyn High School
Key facts & challenges
- Short Description
- Islwyn High School's much-anticipated £25.5 million campus was completed in spring 2017. More than 1,100 pupils will benefit from the modern three-storey building, which combines the former Oakdale and Pontllanfraith secondary schools into one 'super school' to maximise land availability and provide a seamless teaching experience for students. Project architects AHR focused on creating an uplifting and durable learning environment with large open spaces, including specialist sports facilities to encourage active lifestyles. Siniat worked with AHR, main contractor Willmott Dixon and installation subcontractors M&P and Manorcraft to provide interior and exterior drylining solutions for Islwyn High School.
