Short Description

Both architect and carpenter agreed that a two-shell construction was the ideal solution for this exterior building wall. In order to unite creativity, the team opted for a wooden frame construction with a suspended ventilated facade (VHF). This design principle has been in line with the recognised rules of technology for decades, it’s safe and low-maintenance. For this purpose, the wooden frame construction was initially prefabricated with a water-repellent, but diffusion-free outer cladding, on which in turn a vertical wood lathing was applied as a substructure for the Bluclad girder plate. The rear ventilation area, arranged between the facade and the second water-bearing layer, directs moisture upwards and regulates condensation in the building.
